As a former stockbroker and recent retiree, I knew I did not have the appropriate financial skills to help my clients or myself in the critical time frame of approaching retirement. No longer did I have the luxury of time to weather the ups and downs of the stock market with mutual funds, stocks and ETF’s. I needed a safe approach where my principle was protected, but where I could still earn a reasonable return and also address important issues such as long-term care as part of my overall financial program.
